Amar Akbar Anthony Songs

Amar Akbar Anthony is one of the best and greatest movies that Hindi Cinema has witnessed of all times. This Bollywood movie is a 1970s classic one with a great casting and is a true masala movie with romance, action, gangsters, family, relations and anything that you could ask for from a movie. The story revolves around three brothers, Amar (Vinod Khanna), Akbar (Rishi Kapoor) and Anthony (Amitabh Bachchan). Following some accidents, the three were separated in their childhood and the mishap left their mother blind and the father became a rich millionaire. The eldest is Amar and he becomes a police officer behind his adopted father. Anthony is adopted by the church and is the trouble maker of the story with a soft heart. Akbar is taken up by a Muslim and he becomes a qawwali singer. Towards the end of the story, the three brothers come together and decide to fight the bad guys along with their loves.

Amar Akbar Anthony songs are the most memorable in Hollywood cinema history having contributed a handful of wonderful songs which can be downloaded for free from songs.pk. with music by Laxmikant-Pyarelal and the honey sweet voice of Lata Mangeshkar, the songs are a must mention. The qawwali number ‘Pardah Hai Pardah’ with good enough of beautiful shayari by Anand Bakshi. You never get to see such good lyrics, music and instrumental arrangement as in those 70s and even a voice like Mohammed Rafi is simply not found today. In this song, Rishi Kapoor tries to woo Neetu Singh with his song. The title song ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ is another hit which has all the 3 superstars as they come together in different disguises to take it out on the bad men. My personal favorite is “My name is Anthony Gonsalves”. You never get such rocking numbers in today’s music and it is nostalgic.
