Guru is a typical Mani Ratnam movie special in all ways. The movie has a story that has never been told before in any bollywood movie. The story is about an Indian from the streets who rises to become Indian’s top industrialist all by his hard work and dedication. The story is about an ambitious youngster Rajendra Gupta (Abhishek Bachchan) who moves away from the village to explore his dreams. He goes to Turkey to make his dream a reality. He then comes back to Mumbai and starts a new company by the name of Shakthi Trading and takes the wrong path to success. This sis exposed by a newspaper and the story says a true story of success.

It had to be a musical journey, even though the movie has a kind of critics story as it has the ever awaited Mani Ratnam- A.R. Rahman duo to create magic as in Bombay and Roja. ‘Tere Bina’ will be your kind of song if you have been expecting too much from Guru songs as it keeps up to the expectations. A beautiful mix of sufi and Indian classical to create a new kind of song all together.
